Brodie Award Lecture in Medical Education
Russell S. Phillips, MD, Director of the Center for Primary Care at Harvard Medical School (HMS), discusses the critical role of student engagement in the development of medical education and curriculum. The program will highlight successful examples of new educational programs co-produced by faculty and students. It will examine students as change agents and analyze their catalytic role through the framework of John Kotter’s eight-stage process for change. It will also review the success factors in the creation, organization, structure and work of the Center for Primary Care, the Office for Community-Centered Medical Education, Student Leadership Committee, and Agents of Change Program for Community Health Centers at Harvard Medical School.
Medical Center Hour is free of charge and open to the public. For more information, see Center for Health Humanities and Ethics: https://med.virginia.edu/biomedical-ethics/medical-center-hour/
