- Learners will rotate through 4 hands-on workshops. 1. Aline- learners will learn how to set up, how alines work, how to trouble shoot, what happens when you add regular IV tubing vs aline tubing, importance of removing air bubbles.
2. EVD- learners will learn difference between EVD and lumbar drain, indications for EVD, risks of EVD, how to drain EVD, what NOT to do with EVD.
3. Jet ventilation- learners will learn when to use jet ventilation, how to hook jet ventilation up, how to use jet ventilation, risks/benefits of jet ventilation, how to trouble shoot.
4. Belmont rapid infuser- learners will learn indications for rapid tranfusers, differences between transfusers, how to use belmont rapid transfuser, issues with belmont transfuser.
