The UVA Cancer Center will hold its Cancer Control and Population Health (CPH) program’s research symposium by Zoom on Friday, November 12 at 9:00am-2:30pm. This year’s symposium will highlight cancer health disparities in important work that is ongoing around cancer survivorship, interventions, and genetic and biologic population research. The event will feature three sessions of short presentations describing ongoing population-based cancer research and another short session describing new opportunities for research collaboration, with a short panel discussion following each session. Additionally, Dr. Susan Czajkowski, a psychosocial and behavioral risk factors researcher and Chief of the Health Behaviors Research Branch (HBRB) of the National Cancer Institute (NCI), will deliver a keynote address around NCI behavioral research priorities and her work around the Obesity Related Behavioral Intervention Trials (ORBIT) model for obesity research.

This event is a great opportunity to highlight ongoing research within the CPH program and to generate new ideas for potential collaboration with CPH investigators across the UVA Cancer Center.

We look forward to having you join us for this exciting event. Details to join by Zoom are below:
