- Hosted by Thurl Harris, Phd, Ilya Leventhal, PhD is an Associate Professor of Molecular Physiology and Biological Physics, University of Virginia.
The overall focus of the Levental laboratory are to understand and manipulate the fundamental molecular mechanisms by which membrane lipids influence cellular physiology. The overall goal of the lab's research is to understand the fundamental mechanisms by which membranes and dietary lipids regulate cell physiology. By understanding the cell biology of lipids and membranes, the Levental Lab hopes to identify targets for treatment of human diseases.
