- Please join us by Zoom for the Cancer Center’s next IDEA-Cancer workshop on Thursday, February 16, at 11:00am-12:30pm. For this exciting workshop on energy imbalance and inflammation around colorectal cancer, Dr. Hongji Zhang will discuss the impact of preoperative exercise on preventing surgical stress-induced colorectal cancer metastasis, while Dr. Yaohua Yang will discuss his study on gut microbiome, circulating metabolites, and colorectal cancer. As always, there will be time following the two talks for general Q&A and open discussion around areas of overlap between the two talks and any potential for inter-programmatic or transdisciplinary collaboration around this topic in the near future.
