“Updates/Considerations for Ambulatory Surgery”

Dr. Tina Tran is an assistant professor in the department of anesthesiology and critical care medicine and in the department of ophthalmology. She is chief of anesthesiology for the Wilmer Eye Institute. She began her academic career at Hopkins in 2005 as an anesthesiology resident and finds joy and inspiration in her work with medical students, residents, and clinical colleagues. She is co-director for the medical student clinical clerkship in anesthesiology and assistant program director for the anesthesiology residency.

She holds several leadership positions in national societies including the American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA), Society of Education in Anesthesiology (SEA), Ophthalmic Anesthesia Society (OAS), and Society of Ambulatory Anesthesiology (SAMBA). She is involved with several Hopkins groups including AMWA, Anesthesia Interest Group (AIG), GME Diversity Subcommittee, and Women in ACCM. She has mentored several medical students and residents during her 13 years as faculty and she looks forward to collaborating with medical students and the CAP faculty team to enhance medical student experience and success.
