Hosted by Julius Zhu, Yan Dong, PhD is a Professor of Neuroscience, University of Pittsburgh, Pittsburg, PA.

The long-term aim of the Dong Lab is to understand the neural mechanisms underlying emotion and motivation, two basic and interlinked concepts fundamental to behavior in heath and disease. We particularly focus on how addictive drugs affect these neural systems to drive maladaptive behavior, utilizing an array of molecular, cellular, electrophysiological, imaging, and behavioral techniques.
