Pediatric Surgery
Services include consultation and surgery for general and thoracic procedures for patients 18 years of age and under.

Services include consultation and surgery for cancers of the breast, skin, gastrointestinal system, liver, pancreas as well as other locations of carcinoma.

Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgery
Services include consultation and surgery of the heart and lungs - including heart and lung transplantation - as well as for the esophagus and great vessels.

Transplant Services
UVA transplant programs offers superb facilities and an established record of excellence in transplant services. Our program's research studies have received international acclaim and have shaped how other transplant programs around the world care for their patients with various diseases, particularly hepatitis B. UVA was the first Medicare-approved liver transplant center in Virginia.
