Are you having a bronchoscopy as part of an evaluation for possible lung cancer?

UVa Health System Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine seeks adult volunteers for a research study. The purpose of this study is to validate and extend a new diagnostic tool measuring global gene expression in airway cells obtained during routine bronchoscopy in suspect lung cancer patients.

This study will last for 2 years after your bronchoscopy. You will be contacted in 1 year and 2 years to collect information regarding your diagnosis.

No compensation.

You may qualify for this study if you:

Are undergoing bronchoscopy to evaluate for possible lung cancer
Are at least 21 years of age
Have chest x-rays not consistent with cancer
