Who: To be included in the study you must be,
> 18 years old
Have a dx of lumbar spinal stenosis with proof of MRI or CT myelogram.
Be healthy enough to walk on a treadmill or over flat ground without assistance.

What: We will watch you walk on the treadmill
with cameras and collect data. No invasive
testing is required. Time commitment is
minimal (~ 1 - 2hrs total). Reimbursement
provided.

When: Open enrollment as of 9/1/08.

Where: UVA Gait and Motion Analysis Lab,
Fontaine Research Park

Why: The data collected will elucidate differences in
the way you walk compared to people
without lumbar stenosis. This data is
needed to design rehabilitation programs to
relieve pain and suffering and improve
function in patients with lumbar stenosis.
