UVa Health System, Division of Endocrinology, seeks Healthy Women ages 20 and older who have just had a baby or are about to have a baby for a research study. The research study begins after delivery.

The purpose of the study is to understand how breast-feeding changes bone density in mothers. You do not need to breast-feed in order to participate. The study involves bone density tests, blood draws and questionnaires. There will be 3 or 4 visits over approximately one year, each visit lasting about 60-90 minutes.

Study-related bone density tests provided free of change.

Compensation for study completion is a small gift for the initial visit and $30 for each subsequent visit.
