Diabetes Clinic
Providing complete evaluation, diagnosis and treatment of both type 1 and type 2 diabetes. The Diabetes Education and Management Program works in partnership with UVa physicians and primary care physicians to help patients with diabetes learn the content and skills necessary for self-management.
Diabetes Cardiovascular Clinic
Comprehensive care for people who have diabetes and cardiovascular disease or cardiovascular risk factors. Services include state-of-the-art laboratory testing of cardiovascular risk factors and diabetes, medical care for cardiovascular disease and diabetes, guidance about safe and effective use of nutritional supplements/vitamins, and lifestyle counseling in the areas of diet, exercise and the control of cardiovascular risk factors.
Endocrine Clinic
Offering a full spectrum of care for adrenal disease, benign breast disease, bone disease, diabetes mellitus, menstrual dysfunction, hypertension, lipid disorders, fertility problems, reproductive disorders in men and women; and thyroid disease, including cancer and thyroid tumor.
Obstetrics/Diabetes Clinic
Complete care for pregnant women who have diabetes before becoming pregnant or who develop gestational diabetes, including a Preconception Clinic for diabetic women thinking of becoming pregnant.
Osteoporosis and Metabolic Bone Disease Clinic
Offering comprehensive evaluation and treatment of osteoporosis related to postmenopause, cancer, transplant and glucorticoid treatment as well as Paget's disease, hyper- and hypocalcemia and parathyroid disorders.
Pituitary Clinic
Providing nationally and internationally recognized care of pituitary tumors, including transphenoidal pituitary surgery.
