UVa provides the following Dermatology services:

General Dermatology

Full spectrum of medical and surgical skin care for patients of all ages. Treatment of dermatitis, eczema, psoriasis, acne, warts, venereal diseases, blistering diseases, collagen vascular diseases, cutaneous manifestations of internal disease, hair and nail problems, moles and other skin growths, infectious skin problems including viral, bacterial and fungal diseases and assessment of premalignant and malignant skin lesions. Laser therapy for vascular lesions. UVB and PUVA therapy for light responsive skin disorders. Patch testing to define contact allergens.

Mohs Micrographic Surgery

Microscopically guided excision of skin cancers which are difficult by virtue of recurrence, location, histologic character, clinical behavior or size.
