Visitor Lounges

Lounges are available near our patient units for visitors’ comfort.  A telephone and computer is available in each lounge.

Dining

During your visit we provide two options for you to dine.  The cafeteria is located on the first floor adjacent to the lobby in University  Hospital and is open 24 hours a day.  An additional food option is the Wahoo West Café located on the ground floor of the West Complex.  Hours of operation are Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 2:30 PM.

ATM Machine

An ATM machine is located in the University  Hospital cafeteria, seating/vending area.  An additional ATM machine is located off the pedestrian link between University Hospital and the Primary Care Center. University of Virginia Credit Union banking is available on the ground level of the Lee Street West Parking Deck. 

Telephones

• Telephones are available in all patient rooms. 
• Incoming calls are available from 7:00 AM – 10:00 PM. 
• You may place local calls by dialing ‘9’ to get an outside line, followed by the number.
• Long distances calls must be charged on your telephone credit card or placed collect.

Gift Shop

The Hospital Auxiliary gift shop is located off the first floor lobby of University Hospital and offers flowers, balloons, stuffed animals, gift items of all kinds, magazines, snack foods, toiletries, and sundries.  Hours of operation are Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM – 8:00 PM.  Saturday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM and Sunday, 1:00 PM – 5:00 PM.
