Transplant Coverage

UVa facilities and doctors are members of the following networks that cover costs for solid organ transplants:

  • Aetna Transplant Network
  • CIGNA LifeSource Network
  • Coventry Transplant Network
  • Approved Medicare Transplant Center
  • United Resource Networks - Transplant Access Program
  • Kaiser Permanente
  • Blue Quality Centers for Transplant (BQCT)

Mental Health Coverage

Separate insurance is often provided for patients' mental health conditions. UVa has formal agreements with Sentara Behavioral Health Services, United Behavioral Health and Value Options and works with other mental health networks on an individual basis to negotiate arrangements. This way patients not covered under the general plans noted here can receive care at UVa and obtain maximum coverage from their insurance.

When Our Special Care Is Needed

We are committed to working with individuals who are covered by insurance plans we do not participate with, especially when our highly specialized care is needed.
