To better serve the health care needs of our community and beyond, the UVa Medical Center and its doctors, who are managed by UVa Health Services Foundation (HSF), participate in most major insurance plans. These plans include, but are not limited to:

Mental Health Coverage
Separate insurance is often provided for patients' mental health conditions. UVa has formal agreements with Sentara Behavioral Health Services, United Behavioral Health and Value Options and works with other mental health networks on an individual basis to negotiate arrangements. This way patients not covered under the general plans noted here can receive care at UVa and obtain maximum coverage from their insurance.
When Our Special Care Is Needed
We are committed to working with individuals who are covered by insurance plans we do not participate with, especially when our highly specialized care is needed.
