Volunteers
Each year community volunteers provide support for the annual UVA Children's Hospital Service of Remembrance by assisting with various tasks, such as:
Welcoming and registering guests
Directing event traffic and parking
Arranging and serving refreshments
Preparing and distributing flowers to guests
Assisting staff with supervision of children, ages infant - 11 years
Arranging memory tables and directing families to place memorabilia
Escorting families and guests to the auditorium
Assisting with stage decorations and the Tree of Life
Assisting with overall event set up and clean up
Volunteers typically arrive by 12:30 PM and conclude by 4:00 PM. This event would not be possible without the help and compassion of the volunteers.
