What is Outpatient Surgery?

 

Outpatient surgery is surgery which does not normally require hospitalization. As a patient, you arrive at UVA Outpatient Surgery Center, have the surgery, and are driven home by a friend or relative on the same day. Children, adolescents and adults may all have surgery performed at UVA Outpatient Surgery Center. This approach to surgery has many advantages.
