Acquired Brain Injury Clinic

Children attending the ABI clinic may be seen by the SLP for periodic evaluation of:

- Aphasia (language loss)
- Dysarthria (speech articulation and voice)
- Cognitive deficits (memory, problem solving and organization)
- Alternate types of communication (AAC)
- Dysphagia (chewing and swallowing) 
- Referral for appropriate intervention services
- Providing therapy guidance to SLPs providing direct services to children through local early intervention and school programs
