Summer Volunteer Program

We are currently scheduling interviews for our Summer 2015 Volunteer Program

Volunteering at UVA Health System – Summer 2015

Volunteering at UVA Health System means making a meaningful difference in the lives of others.  Our team of volunteers contribute to the superlative care that we provide to our patients.

Standard Requirements to Volunteer:

Be at least 18 years of age.

Our Summer Volunteer Program is an intensive program for adults during the summer months of May – August. Individuals are expected to commit to 50 hours of volunteer service, typically 2 shifts per week, up to 8 hours (some programs require additional hours). Your volunteering start and stop dates will be arranged individually and vacation trips can be accommodated in most cases. Applications are accepted January – April. For more information on becoming a volunteer, click here.

Complete a brief Health Assessment.  This includes: review of previous immunizations, completing a two-part screening for TB, and receiving a flu vaccination at no cost to you.

Provide authorization for a Criminal History background check.

Join our team of dedicated volunteers!  You'll make new friends, learn new skills, and feel a great sense of personal satisfaction.  We'd love to have you.
