Research and Program Development
The University of Virginia Office of Telemedicine uses surveys and metrics as research tools to collect data from patients, practitioners, and partner sites. These data provide insight into the quality and satisfaction of telemedicine delivered services at the University of Virginia. This continual feedback encourages the Office of Telemedicine to evaluate their practices as they work progressively to maintain their high standards of service.
Additionally, the University of Virginia Office of Telemedicine has been used as a resource center to mentor fledgling telemedicine programs that are looking to develop and expand their networks and services. If you would like more information about developing a telemedicine program at your institution, please contact the Office of Telemedicine at (434)-924-5470.
The UVA Center for Telehealth is pleased to announce that we will serve as a multi-level telehealth resource center in the Mid-Atlantic region. We will be able to build upon and expand the mentoring and program development services provided by the Office of Telemedicine through the Mid-Atlantic Telehealth Resource Center (MATRC). Using this HRSA funding we will be able to further expand telehealth activities in Virginia, North Carolina, Kentucky, West Virginia, Maryland, Delaware and the District of Columbia.
