USTTI
Each year, through the United States Telecommunications Training Institute (USTTI), hundreds of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) experts from industry and government provide intensive tuition-free training to women and men who are involved, typically at senior levels, in their developing country’s ICT infrastructure.
The Office of
Telemedicine is one of the facilities throughout the United States
where USTTI training occurs; ICT experts from the Office of
Telemedicine use our high-tech facilities to train qualified
communications professionals, regulators and entrepreneurs from the
developing world.
This past year, the Office of Telemedicine hosted twelve participants from a variety of countries including the Philippines, Nepal, Mongolia and Uganda. The Office of Telemedicine has been collaborating with USTTI for six years and they look forward to a continued partnership well into the future.
If you are interested in participating in USTTI, with the potential to visit the UVA Office of Telemedicine, please visit the USTTI website.
