The Office of Telemedicine is part of a global community that operates with the purpose of eliminating health disparities and improving the overall health of the world's citizens. At the University of Virginia, we recognize that participation in international activities leads to the enrichment of everyone involved in the exchange, and that achieving community engagement on the global level is a core competency of ameliorating health outcomes and emphasizing disease prevention. The Office of Telemedicine is consequently committed to bridging the geographical barriers to health care both domestically and internationally. |
