Meeting minutes from the Health System
Academic & Research Employee Council on June 17th, 2004

The Employee Council meeting went on as scheduled this 17th day of June. 

The meeting was called to order by Helen Norfleet-Shiflett, council co-chair.

There were no guest speakers scheduled for this meeting. Ed Howell will be the guest speaker for the July meeting.  

In new business the Provost Office reported they are in the process of wrapping up the budget. The summary of the 2004-2005 Budget can be found at http://www.virginia.edu/budget. The Employee Council elections of officers will be held at our August meeting. At the July meeting we will have nominations of individuals for positions. Please come ready to nominate. Helen also addressed council representatives to start thinking about questions or concerns for the August Executive Council meeting with Leonard Sandridge and bring them to the July Employee Council meeting. Debbie Gausvik from Human Resources reported anyone with an unclaimed service award can contact Human Resources to pick it up.
