Health System Academic and Research Employee Council meeting on March 19, 2004
The Employee Council meeting went on as scheduled this 19th day of March.
The meeting was called to order by Helen Norfleet-Shiflett, council co-chair.
Kim Guenther, Druen Anderson of the Knowledge Link and Anne Dawson Broccoli from Human Resources were the guest speakers. Kim and Druen started the meeting by talking about the Knowledge Link, an intranet resource located on the Uva Health System homepage. This link allows employees to find news and events that are happening at the University. The site is updated often and one of the newest attractions is a Ride Board link. The Ride Board allows employees to post and find other employees within the University who are interested in carpooling some or all of the time. To go to Knowledge link, from the Health System homepage click on “For Employees” on the left hand column and it will prompt you to log in, use the same log in that you use to start your computer at work. Some of the other information found on Knowledge Link include, meeting room locator, forms, trips and calendar highlights. For more information or questions contact Kim at email@example.com. Anne Dawson Broccoli from Human Resources highlighted the upcoming changes with Eckerd Health Services and the new formulary and non-formulary drug list that take affect April 1, 2004. A memo describing these changes was sent out to all Uva employees. For more information or to find out about the changes you can go to the Eckerd Health Services (EHS) website.
