The Technology Resource Center is located at the Kluge Children's Rehabilitation Center (KCRC).  As part of the Hospital Education Program (HEP), the Technology Resource Center is staffed by a special educator credentialed as an Assistive Technology Practitioner (ATP). The Technology Resource Center provides a variety of services related to computers and adaptive technologies.  Evaluation, consultation, and training are available to students, parents, school personnel, and pre-service or in-service educators and related service providers.  An interdisciplinary team approach is used to assess computer access and software applications that can promote learning and independence.  Enrichment classes featuring computer-based activities are offered for children in the community.

All HEP services are free to children and their families.  Referrals for evaluation, consultation, and training can be arranged directly with the Technology Coordinator by calling (434) 982-0844 or by contacting the KCRC Referral Office at (800) 627-8596.
