Confetti is broadcast live on Channel 12 from the 7th floor studio in University Hospital on Monday afternoons from 3:30 - 4:00 p.m. Featured is Hospital Lingo, a game that follows a BINGO format. Hospital Lingo helps children learn medical terms in a fun, prize-winning atmosphere. Children are invited to come to the studio to play "live." A special TV release must be signed by a parent or guardian for children to be on camera in the studio. The TV release form is available from Hospital Education Program (HEP) staff.
Patients who are unable to come to the studio are encouraged to watch via Channel 12 and participate by telephone from their rooms. The studio phone number appears on the television screen. Patients who win Hospital Lingo while playing from their rooms should call the program hostess to claim their prizes. Moms and dads are invited to play for young children. Siblings may play, too.
All HEP services are free to children and their families. For additional information, contact (434) 924-2658.
