The Hospital Education Program (HEP) offers closed-circuit television at the University of Virginia Children's Hospital.  Programming operates 12 hours per day and features commercial videotapes that focus on health education, children's literature, and entertainment.

CMC-TV, otherwise known as Charles Major Claus Television in honor of the University of Virginia Children's Hospital mascot bear , also has four weekly, live broadcasts from the studio located on the 7th floor of University Hospital.  Children are the stars of these shows and may participate live in the studio or by calling in from their hospital rooms.  Written parent permission is required for children to be on camera in the studio.  Release forms are available from HEP staff.

All HEP services are free to children and their families. For additional information, contact (434) 924-2658.
