Nutrition Support Blog: 2012 DNS Distinguished Service and Practice Awards
June 5, 2012 by Joe Krenitsky, MS, RD
In contrast to jobs in industry, those of us that work in healthcare do not often receive generous tangible rewards for exceptional performance and our extra efforts. While our primary motivation generally stems from a conviction that nutrition is important and from a desire to help people, it is still nice to see exemplary practice acknowledged. Therefore, I was thrilled to learn that Carol Parrish is the recipient of the 2012 Dietitians in Nutrition Support Distinguished Practice Award!

Carol has worked tirelessly to “push the envelope” of clinical dietetics practice, expand educational opportunities for nutrition support, and educate clinicians and patients about GI nutrition issues. Congratulations to Carol, and also to Mary Hise who was awarded the 2012 Distinguished Service Award!
