Outpatient Cancer Nutrition
Services Provided:
The clinical nutritionist is available to provide
nutrition counseling to all cancer patients before, during, and after
active treatment in radiation oncology, infusion centers,and various
cancer center clincs.
Goals of Nutrition Therapy:
- To achieve improved treatment tolerance
- Reduce weight loss
- Aid in faster recovery from surgeries
- Encourage overall improvement in quality of life Our RD will work with you to address the weight loss related to cancer and its treatments, difficulties eating due to textures, appetite loss, taste changes associated with treatment, and counseling regarding complementary diets and/or supplements.
