department of Nutrition Services. The program fee may change, however.

fee prior to applying.
Financial Aid Information
Interns are able to obtain student loan deferments during the
internship. There are a number of opportunities to apply for
scholarships that can be applied toward internship tuition. At this

about personal loans that could be appropriate for this program.
Scholarship Opportunities
1. Each year the UVa Health System Auxiliary awards a $3,000
scholarship to a dietetic intern; this award is based on financial
availability from the Auxiliary and is subject to change at any
time. Scholarship is based on the intern's academic performance,
career potential and proven financial need.
2. Scholarships are also available through the Academy of
Nutrition and Dietetics, state level dietetic associations and
local level distric dietetic associations for students who will be
embarking on a dietetic internship. Prospective interns should pursue
these applications in the fall of his/her senior year as they are
awarded in the spring and then applied toward tuition the following
fall.
3. Morrison Diet SODA Scholarship: Up to $6,000 is awarded to
recipients who attend Morrision Internships - and UVA is a Morrison
account! For more information visit the web site the Diet SODA website.
