Comparison of Pedometer and Accelerometer Measurements during Physical Activity

UVa Department of Kinesiology is to evaluate the accuracy of the Omron HJ-324U pedometer. A pedometer is a device that measures the number of steps an individual takes while wearing it. Study involves: • Wearing two small physical activity monitors around your waist during waking hours for 7 days • Recording in a log when you put the devices on and took them off • Two visits over a two week period each visit last less than 30 minutes There is no compensation for this study.
