Effect of Pattern Electrical Neuromuscular Stimulation on Quadriceps Function in Individuals with a History of Knee Injuries

The Exercise and Sport Injury Laboratory at the University of Virginia is seeking individuals with history of knee injury for a research study evaluating the effects of a brief electrical stimulation treatment on the thigh muscle. The purpose of the study is to evaluate thigh muscle activation, strength and pain in individuals with a past knee injury after a brief Patterned Electrical Neuromuscular Stimulation (PENS) treatment. This study will require 1 study session, lasting approximately 2 hours.
