The Exercise and Sport Injury Laboratory at the University of Virginia is seeking individuals with ankle sprains for a research study studying the effects of ice treatment and recovery. The purpose of the study is to examine the effects of an ice treatment on range of motion, swelling, balance, pain, and strength in individuals with ankle sprains before and after applying ice bags to the sprained ankle. This study will require 1 study session, lasting approximately 1 and ½ hours.
