Call2Health: Diabetes in African American Women

UVa Health System, The Department of Medicine’s Division of General Medicine seeks African American Women ages 18 and older with Type I or II Diabetes for a research study. The purpose of the study Call2Health is to improve the self-care of African-American women with diabetes. This study involves participants receiving daily text message goals on personal cell phones and if selected, will participate in 10 90-minute women’s educational sessions. Participants will receive text messages and attend groups over approximately 6 months. ? No compensation is provided for this study.
