Clinical Trial of CBASP for Individuals with Co-occurring Chronic Depression and Alcohol Dependence

UVa Health System, Department of Psychiatry & Neurobehavioral Sciences seeks men and women ages 18 to 65 who are motivated to change their (1) low or depressed mood symptoms and (2) drinking, to participate in a research study. The purpose of the study is to research an emerging therapy to see if it helps reduce alcohol consumption and improve low or depressed mood symptoms. Study involves psychological assessment and weekly individualized therapy. Study requires a total of 24 visits over a period of 33 weeks. ? Study-related psychological assessment and weekly individualized therapy are provided free of charge. ? No monetary compensation is provided for this study.
