A Randomized, Double-Blind, Placebo-Controlled, Multicenter, Parallel-Group Study to Evaluate the Efficacy and Safety of Brivaracetam in Subjects (> or equal to 16 to 80 Years Old) with Partial Onset Seizures

UVa Health System, Neurology Department, F.E. Dreifuss Comprehensive Epilepsy Program seeks adults and children ages 16-80 with epilepsy for a research study. The purpose of the research study is to evaluate the efficacy and safety of an investigational product, Brivaracetam, in subjects with Partial Onset Seizures -Study-related exams, tests and experimental drug and or placebo provided free of charge. -Your participation in this study will require 9 study visits over 26 weeks. Each visit will last 2 – 2 1/2 hours. -You will receive $ 50.00 for each clinic visit to cover for time and travel expense.
