Glucocorticoid regulation of ghrelin in normal weight and obese young adults (MOT106)

2 Hormone Infusion Studies Healthy NORMAL-WEIGHT (BMI 18-25) and VERY OVERWEIGHT (BMI 32-40) men and women, ages 18-30 are needed for 2 different studies of the experimental use of hydrocortisone, insulin or placebo infusions on ghrelin, a hormone that stimulates appetite. Each study: 2 overnight admissions at least 1 month apart; infusion of hormone or placebo; frequent blood sampling. Women must be on oral contraceptive for at least 3 months prior to study. Compensation is $300 upon completion of 2 admissions, for each study.
