UVa Health System, Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Division of Gynecologic Oncology seeks Healthy Women ages 18 and older who are having bariatric weight loss surgery for research study. The purpose of the study is to learn about the effects of body weight on the development of cancer of the endometrium, or lining of the uterus. Study involves blood draws, tissue collection during surgery and a questionnaire. Visits will correspond with regular clinic visits and will not add any time to your clinic visit. Study-related blood and tissue collection provided free of charge. No compensation is provided for this study.
