LAPTOP-HF: Left Atrial Pressure Monitoring to Optimize Heart Failure Therapy Study
UVa Health System, Department of Cardiology, seeks men and women at least 18 years of age with congestive heart failure for a research study. The purpose of this study is to test the safety and effectiveness the Left Atrial Pressure (LAP) Monitoring Systems for treating congestive heart failure. If you participate in this study you will need to visit the study clinic at 2 weeks from randomization (Visit 2), 6 weeks, 3 months, 6 months, 9 months, 12 months, and every three months thereafter until the study is complete, or in five years - whichever comes first. The length of your study visits will vary based on the tests needed at those visits. Most visits will just last about 30 minutes. You will get: ?
