Molecular Pathways Leading to Chronic Graft Dysfunction

UVa Health System, Department of Surgery-Transplant Division, seeking Adults who are potential kidney Transplant recipients needed for a research study. The purpose of this study is to identify the causes of kidney (renal) transplant failure. The study will look at the relationship between the small changes that can be seen in biopsies, blood and urine samples collected at the different time points. The hope is that by doing this study researchers will be able to find better ways to test, diagnose, monitor and treat disease of transplanted tissue.
