Medical expenses for a child with special health care needs can be significant.

The Child with Special Health Care Needs (CSHCN) Pool of Funds provides a limited amount of money to assist CSHCN who are uninsured or under insured whose families have gross family income at or below 300% of the Federal Poverty Level.
The funds assist with payment of certain services such as medications, diagnostic testing, therapies, durable medical equipment, physician-specialty office visits and hospitalizations. Some expenses can not be paid for by these funds; items such as co-pays and deductibles.
Financial eligibility is required for those asking for help from the Child with Special Health Care Needs (CSHCN) Pool of Funds and preauthorization is required.
