The Division of Midlife Health at UVa Health System is seeking women to participate in a research study. The study will assess the effectiveness of a new questionnaire, and compare the effectiveness of treatment for urge incontinence between an FDA approved medication and placebo.

What is involved?

" An initial phone screen, a screening visit and, if eligible, another 10 visits over the course of 12 months
" Study medication or placebo
" Detailed diary-keeping and urinary catheterizations
" An evaluation by a uro-gynecologist if symptoms do not improve over the course of the study
Who may be eligible?
" Healthy women 18 years of age or older
" Women who experience strong urges to urinate with unwanted urinary leakage

*There is no cost to participants, and participants will be compensated for their time.
