Scheduled Workshops – Instructor Led Training
The Web Development Center provides free Web Developer's Toolkit training. Training is held in Stacey Hall and is available to all UVa Health System departmental web managers.
Training Agenda
Training is held on the first Tuesday of each month from 8:30 AM -- 12:30 PM and is split into 2 focused web development sessions. Demand for our training is high so please register early.
- 8:30 AM - 10:30 AM
Web Developer's Toolkit Training
This session concentrates on the basic technical how-to of the Toolkit. It steps through the process of working with the tools that are provided. This session will not cover HTML or CSS. No prior technical experience is required. Get a head start using the Quick Guide [pdf]
- 15-Minute Break
We have a break room with soda and snack machines
- 10:45 AM - 12:30 PM
Basic Theory of Web Design
This session will not cover the technical aspect of web design (writing HTML or CSS) rather it discusses the theory and methodology of designing attractive and usable web pages.
Get a head start and review the session's handouts
You are welcome to attend both sessions or just one.
