ONE DAY of the Weekend Event for Children's Hospital!    

We need Volunteers for the Walk-For-Kids beginning at 7 AM:

7:00 AM   Arrive for morning shift
8:00 AM   Registration for the Walk-for-Kids 
9:00 AM   Walk-for-Kids
8:30 AM   Children's Miracle Network Telethon
10:00 AM  NICU Reunion Celebration 
                (following Walk for Kids)

Volunteers are needed beginning at 7:00 AM and throughout the day for set up, registration, children's games, handing out water, serving refreshments & clean up.

The Fine Arts Show is supported by the Hospital Auxiliary. This show allows our creative staff, employees, volunteers and students to share their talents.  The show is located in the hallway outside the Family Surgical Lounge.

Some of the artwork is on sale.  Please support the artists and auxiliary with a purchase (20%
of the purchase goes to the Hospital Auxiliary)

April 7-May 19  Spring Fine Arts Show
Volunteers, students, and employees at UVa Health Center are exhibiting their original artworks.  Their artwork may be for sale with 20% of the proceeds going to the UVa Hospital Auxiliary. 

May 19, Monday  Spring Fine Arts Show Ends
Exhibitors will pick up their artwork between 10:30 - 3:30 pm  

May 29, Thursday 11:30 AM - 1:30 PM 
Annual Auxiliary Spring Luncheon will be held at Alumni Hall. 

 SUMMER VOLUNTEER PROGRAM: Important Information

The summer volunteer program has filled all it's positions.   There are no more slots.  Thank you for applying.  As a reminder to those in the summer program, the following deadlines are listed below.

May 27  Attended Volunteer Orientation
June 10  Be ready to start volunteering

JUNIOR VOLUNTEERS: Important Information

2008 Dates:  For complete information check the Junior Volunteer website. 
The Junior Volunteer selections are complete for 2008!  There are 42 returning Junior Volunteers.  Of the 43 students who completed the application process, 18 were selected.  There are a total of 60 Junior Volunteers for the summer. Thank you for your interest.   

If you are interested in the 2009 program, please give the Volunteer Services office a call, 434-924-5251.

June 16, 2008 - All selected 2008 Junior Volunteers, returning and new, must attend this Mandatory Orientation. If you are not able to attend this mandatory meeting then we will be unable to offer you a position as a Junior Volunteer this summer.
