View the world of ovarian cancer through the art of sculpture at this nationally touring art exhibit. Artist John Magnan drew inspiration from his wife's journey with ovarian cancer. The exhibit is presented in partnership with the National Ovarian Cancer Coalition in memory of Mary Magnan-and honors all women and families who have been touched by this disease.
"His sculptures moved me so deeply-it was as if my intimate and private fear, horror, sadness of the ovarian cancer experience had taken an external and tangible form," says Gayle Cooley of Roanoke, an ovarian cancer survivor.

This workshop is made possible by the Mary Semmes Scripps Fund for Integrative Medicine at the UVA Cancer Center.

His presentations have been called "moving" and "breathtaking" and spoken with "compassion and simplicity."
"As human beings, we all have a body, but we also have a mind, heart, and spirit," Dr. Geffen shares. "Thus, if healing is to be complete, all the dimensions of who we are must be addressed-with equal skill and integrity. Focusing only on the physical dimension-as important and compelling as this is-will never solve all of the needs and desires of human beings, regardless of whether they are sick or well."
