J. Terry Saunders, Ph.D. is Director of the Virginia Center for Diabetes Professional Education and Assistant Professor of Medical Education in Internal Medicine at the University of Virginia School of Medicine. His doctoral degree is in community and clinical psychology from Yale University. He has taught in the psychology departments of the University of British Columbia and the University of Virginia. He has been at the UVA Diabetes Center since 1984 and has directed the professional education programs of the Center for the past 16 years. |

Anthony L. McCall, M.D., Ph.D., F.A.C.P. is Professor of Internal Medicine at the University of Virginia School of Medicine and Medical Director of the Virginia Center for Diabetes Professional Education. He received his M.D. from the Medical College of Wisconsin and his Ph.D. from the M.I.T. Prior to coming to the University of Virginia two years ago, he was Associate Professor of Medicine at the Oregon Health Sciences University and Director of Diabetes Research and the Diabetes Program at the Portland VA Medical Center. |

Joyce Green Pastors, R.D., M.S., C.D.E. is a Diabetes Nutrition Specialist and Assistant Professor of Medical Education in Internal Medicine at the University of Virginia School of Medicine. She received her B.S. degree in Food Science and Nutrition from Colorado State University, completed a dietetic internship at the University of Arkansas Medical Center, and received her M.S. degree in Human Nutrition from the University of Missouri. She has worked in the area of diabetes for 22 years and has been at the University of Virginia Diabetes Center for over 15 years. |

Tina Turner is the Center's Program Support Technician. She handles general inquiries about the Center, registration for educational programs, purchasing, billing, and travel arrangements. |
