Visualization Technology Inc. (VTI)
The UVA Outpatient Surgery Center is dedicated to providing the utmost in safety to patients. We do this with the most modern equipment available. State of the art CAT scans are linked electronically with our VTI machine to create a 3 dimensional roadmap of patient’s sinuses and other structures in the head. Using this equipment, our surgeons can skillfully perform endoscopic sinus surgery, identify and remove nasal polyps and biopsy and repair tumors and other lesions that previously have been impossible to treat with this precision.

Liposuction (Cosmetic Surgery)
Ultrasonic vibrations emulsify fat and ease in its removal. This gives surgeons the ability to "sculpt" an area on a patient.

Carbon Dioxide Laser (CO2)
The CO2 laser is used for very precise removal of even the smallest skin and vocal cord lesions. It can also be used to treat Gyn problems such as endometriosis.

Ultrapulse Laser
Ultrapulse Laser is used for the smoothing of small facial wrinkles and scars. This is a fairly new technique applied to a technology that has been around for more then 30 years.

Microscopes
The UVA Outpatient Surgery Center owns 5 high powered microscopes which allow surgeons to perform procedures on the eye, repair tiny blood vessels and nerves and operate on the ear.

Phaco
The UVA Outpatient Surgery Center has a Phaco machine that allows the surgeon to remove cataracts through a tiny incision. This preserves and improves our ability to see following the procedures.

Training Room
We offer a state of the art training room…

  • Transport (audio/visual) surgical procedures from the Operating Room to the Training Room.
  • Unique training lab for up to 60 attendees.
