Research Description

Phopholemman is the major sarcolemmal protein that is phosphorylated by PKA and PKC.  Studies suggest that Phopholemman interacts with the sodium pump.  Via patch clamping techniques, we are investigating the differences in the sodium pump currents in wild-type mice and Phopholemman-deficient mice.
