Role of A1 Adenosine receptor (A1AR) in angiogenesis.

Research Description

Angiogenesis is important in many clinically important pathological processes including ischemia. Adenosine reduces tissue demand and increases vascular supply by activation of four subtypes of adenosine receptors (A1, A2A, A2B, A3). Our laboratory focuses on the role of A1 Adenosine receptor (A1AR) in angiogenesis.
