Vascular Biology Curriculum

Each vascular biology trainee will receive

  • Mentored research training in a cardiovascular laboratory (divisional labs, basic science labs, translational research projects).  Each fellow will spend a minimum of 2 years in hands-on training in their mentor's laboratory.
  • In addition to the mentored laboratory experience, each trainee will have a defined curriculum in cardiovascular biology to broaden their scientific education. 

    Required course work includes:

    • Vascular Biology (1 semester)
    • Ethics in Research (1 semester)
    • Cardiovascular Seminar Series (weekly)
    • CV Division Research Conference (monthly)
    • Translational Journal Club (monthly)

Optional coursework includes:

    • Accelerated PhD program for MDs
    • Other graduate courses (immunology, genetics, cell, gene)
